Overview
Nicole graduated with First Class Honours in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University under the Accelerated Bachelor’s Programme. During her undergraduate years, she completed her final year project in a laboratory with a long-standing interest to develop and apply super-resolution microscopy approaches to contribute to new discoveries and ideas within the field of cell biology. Nicole was awarded the Nanyang President’s Graduate Scholarship and went on to pursue her postgraduate studies focusing on the molecular and functional characterization of AAA-ATPase, Valosin-containing protein, in cancer cells.
Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson (Asia), Nicole worked as postdoctoral research fellow at Nanyang Technological University where she was part of a multidisciplinary collaborative research team focusing on identifying the bioactive components in tropical medicinal plants traditionally used for cancer therapy.
