Overview
Adelia graduated with First Class Honours in molecular biology from the University of Western Australia. She subsequently undertook her postgraduate studies at Monash University in Melbourne, where she was awarded a PhD for her thesis on renal differentiation of human embryonic stem cells. During her time at Monash University, Adelia also completed a Graduate Certificate in Commercialising Research under sponsorship from the Australian Government.
Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson (Asia), Adelia worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at CSIRO (Australia) and at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore. In both these positions, her research focused on the areas of embryonic and adult stem cells. In particular, she was involved in developing human embryonic stem cell reporter lines and investigating the role of adult stem cells in gastric cancer, respectively.
