Jacqueline is a senior associate with Spruson & Ferguson Lawyers in the Litigation team. She is a commercial litigator, specialising in intellectual property disputes.

As a lawyer, registered Australian trade marks attorney and registered Australian and New Zealand patent attorney, Jacqueline has acted in numerous contentious intellectual property matters including large-scale patent disputes and proceedings concerning trade marks, designs, copyright, breach of confidence, misleading or deceptive conduct, passing off, and domain names.

Her practice focuses on a broad range of technologies and industries, including telecommunications, gaming and entertainment, minting, electrical, ICT, building and construction, fashion and apparel, and consumer products. She represents owners of small to medium sized business, and works with directors and in-house counsel of large and multinational companies.

Jacqueline’s recent experience includes:

  • acting in significant patent and trade mark litigation before the Federal Court and the Full Federal Court;
  • acting in commercial litigation in areas such as misleading and deceptive conduct, passing off and contractual disputes before the Federal Court and the Supreme Court;
  • applying for and obtaining an urgent interlocutory injunction;
  • defending a preliminary discovery application; and
  • advising on issues relating to branding, advertising,
    and confidential information.


Jacqueline’s practice also includes non-contentious intellectual property matters. She has experience in drafting a wide range of IP contracts including IP licences, assignments, and confidentiality agreements.

Before joining Spruson & Ferguson Lawyers, Jacqueline was a solicitor and a patent and trade marks attorney at a specialist IP firm in Melbourne.

Jacqueline is a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand Inc., the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia, the NSW Law Society and the Women Lawyers Association of NSW.
