Overview
Zhang Wenjing holds a bachelor degree in communication engineering from Southern Yangtze University, China and two master degrees from Lanzhou University, China and Université Aix-Marseille III, France respectively. Zhang Wenjing was awarded two scholarships during her studies in Southern Yangtze University. During her juris master studies in Lanzhou University, she was selected to attend a course in Université Aix-Marseille III, Aix en Provence, France from 2009 to 2010 and obtained her LL.M degree of European business law in France.
Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson (Asia), Wenjing first practiced law for one year in a leading intellectual property law firm in Nanjing, China, where she trained in civil, commercial and administrative legal litigation and arbitration. She then proceeded to pass China’s National Bar Exam and qualified as a lawyer. Thereafter she changed her role to an editor of a scientific and technological information journal, where she reviewed and edited articles and reports on the growth of the intellectual property rights field. Zhang Wenjing then went on to pass China’s Patent Attorney Qualification Exam to become a qualified patent attorney.
Wenjing is a qualified Chinese patent attorney and a qualified Chinese lawyer. She is a member of the All China Lawyers Association and the All China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA). In her role at Spruson & Ferguson (Asia) she is involved with drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Singapore and overseas in the electrical, mechanical and computer system fields.
