Overview

Moon Teng graduated with a Bachelor of BioMedical Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at the National Heart Centre Singapore where she researched on mesenchymal stem cell therapy for the treatment of myocardial infarction. As part of her Honours thesis, Moon Teng investigated the variable uses of polyethylene glycol in bioconjugation and hydrogel formation.

Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson (Asia), Moon Teng worked in a Big Four law firm in Singapore, where she was responsible for the trade mark and patent prosecution of a number of multinational companies. She was also involved in trade mark enforcement and brand protection of rights holders. Her interest in Intellectual Property led her to pursue the Master of IP and Innovation Management (MIPIM) at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. In the inaugural intake of 2017, Moon Teng went on to become the sole graduate from the Patent Agency specialisation. Moon Teng regularly contributes content for publication, where she shares her insights on patent law developments in Singapore and Asia.
