Overview
With a background in law and business, Steven is an Associate in our Trade Mark team and establishes excellent relationships with clients of all sizes to assist in strategically protecting their brand and trade mark rights.
Over the last few years, Steven’s practice has involved the full management of filing and prosecuting trade mark applications in Australia and internationally, handling opposition and removal proceedings, and assisting with portfolio management.
While many of his clients stem from industries such as information technology, automotive, education and food and beverage, he assists local and international clients across a broad range of industries.
Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson, Steven worked as a trade mark Examiner at IP Australia where he gained valuable knowledge and an interest in trade marks and intellectual property law more broadly. At IP Australia, Steven was involved in various business and community engagement projects which included running and presenting a series of web-seminars on IP rights and Trade Mark registration procedures.
Steven holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney and has completed a Graduate of Diploma of Legal Practice at The College of Law. He was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2023.
