A pharmacist who pursued higher education for her master degree in Hokkaido University, specifically in Transdisciplinary Life Science major, Nurul sought deeper knowledge of Chemical and Life Science. Her research experience was around analytical and organic synthesis chemistry regarding stereostructure study of deoxyfluorinated lipids and prostaglandins via vibrational circular dichroism (VCD).
Beforehand, she completed her bachelor degree in pharmaceuticals (4 years) with her research project in pharmacognosy and phytochemistry field concerning the optimization of microwave-assisted extraction to obtain optimum anthocyanin concentration from sarang semut tubers (Myrmecodia pendens) using response surface methodology (RSM) as well as completed pharmacist diploma (1 year) in Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Indonesia.
Her previous works were in a local cosmetics factory as the pharmacist where she was in charge of cosmetics products and industrial registration. She was also a full-time lecturer, researcher, and involved in community service in a university.
