Overview

Jonathan graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) with Honours. During the course of his studies, he specialized in Electrical Energy Systems, which included Power Systems, Power Electronics and Micro-electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS). His Final Year Project dealt with MEMS Micromirrors and he was subsequently awarded the NUS Faculty of Engineering Innovation & Research Award.

Jonathan has considerable industrial experience in Electrical Power Systems. Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson (Asia), he was an Engineer in an electrical utilities company. In particular, he specialized in Power System Protection, where he was actively involved in the commissioning, maintenance and project management of protection relays within the entire electrical transmission and distribution network.

At Spruson & Ferguson (Asia), Jonathan is involved in the drafting and prosecuting of both local and overseas patent applications, especially those in the electrical and electronics field. Jonathan is a qualified Singapore Patent Attorney.
