Overview
Jay completed his PhD in Cellular Neuroscience at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen focusing on the roles of beta-amyloid in cerebral amyloidosis and Alzheimer’s disease. This work included the investigation of leading clinical trial immunotherapies for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and their efficacy for slowing disease progression. Jay then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Queensland where he investigated the role of aging in neurodegeneration as well as how mobile elements contribute to genetic mosaicism in the brain. Jay developed an interest in IP through his translational research projects and is now working at Spruson & Ferguson as a trainee in our Chemical & Life Sciences team.
