Overview
Fiona is a lawyer with Spruson & Ferguson Lawyers in the litigation, commercialisation and trade marks teams. She assists with contentious intellectual property law matters including trade marks, copyright, patents, designs, misleading or deceptive conduct, passing off and breach of contract. She also assists with non-contentious commercial and intellectual property law matters.
Fiona developed her interest in intellectual property when she completed a microcredential course, the Fundamentals of Intellectual Property Law for Industry at the University of Technology Sydney.
Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson Lawyers, Fiona completed an 18-month graduate program at a Sydney based firm with rotations in the corporate and commercial, and litigation practice groups.
Fiona holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Communication and completed a 6-month international exchange program studying an International Bachelor of Communication and Media at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2021.
