2016年7月28日にタイ商標法(No.3)が施行されて以来、商標所有者は庁費用の20%増額料金を支払うことで、徒過した当該期限日から6ヶ月以内に登録更新申請を行うことが可能となりました。この6ヶ月間の更新猶予期間は、タイの登録商標所有者の多くにとって非常に有利となっています。ただし、登録名義人が更新期間の前に別の事業体と合併した場合、この合併は遅延更新料金の支払いと共に記録される必要があります。
