Spruson & Ferguson was proud to once again participate in IP Week @ SG 2025 this year. Organised by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), this flagship event brought together global IP leaders, innovators, and businesses to explore the future of intellectual property in an increasingly digital economy.
As an exhibitor, our team hosted a booth throughout the week, engaging with attendees from across Southeast Asia and sharing insights on IP protection, commercialisation strategies, and regional developments – reinforcing our commitment to supporting innovation across the region.
We were also pleased to provide complimentary 45-minute advisory sessions to business owners and organisations in the IP Marketplace. These one-on-one consultations provided expert guidance on IP strategy, helping participants navigate complex challenges and unlock new opportunities for growth.
Several members of our Singapore team also attended sessions at the Global Forum on Intellectual Property (GFIP), gaining fresh perspectives on emerging IP issues including artificial intelligence, sustainability, and cross-border enforcement.
A key highlight was being awarded the Singapore IP Strategy (SIPS) 2030 Appreciation Award. Duarte Lima, Managing Director of Spruson & Ferguson Asia, accepted the award on stage during the GFIP. This recognition celebrates our firm’s contributions to Singapore’s national IP strategy and our role in advancing the region’s innovation ecosystem.
Mr Lima was also interviewed alongside Senior Associate, Wenjing Zhang, by IP Week media partner, IPR Daily.
