Overview
Changji graduated with a first class honours Bachelor of Engineering degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He then pursued his postgraduate education at NTU and University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, Austria, where he worked on Raman and infrared optical biosensor, and heme protein characterization based on nanoparticles and array of nanostructures. He was awarded a joint PhD for his thesis on rational design of plasmonic nanostructures for surface enhanced spectroscopy.
Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson, Changji worked as a senior research scientist in a renowned Japanese In-Vitro Diagnostic company’s oversea R&D lab based in Singapore. He was involved with projects on immobilizing glucose dehydrogenase enzyme to minimize the haematocrit influence of blood glucose monitoring, and enhancing the signal of immunochromatography assay for Dengue virus detection.
