Overview
Samuel specialises in a diverse range of technologies including analytical devices, nanomaterials, food chemistry, and the small and large-scale chemical synthesis of organic and inorganic compounds.
In 2022, Samuel received his PhD for research in supramolecular nanomaterials for separations and catalysis. Samuel then joined a collaborative program between Monash University, University of Melbourne and the Defence Science and Technology Group as a postdoctoral research fellow. His research explored the development of chemical sensors for the detection of airborne chemical threats, with a view to producing prototype devices ready for commercialisation.
Samuel is currently training to become a registered patent attorney and is undertaking a Masters of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Melbourne. He looks forward to making use of his strong and varied technical expertise in the world of commercialisation and IP.
