Overview

Dr. Siqi Wang is the Head of Patents China for Spruson & Ferguson. Siqi joined Spruson & Ferguson’s China exclusive partner PAT SF Beijing Agency from the establishment of the Agency, before transferring to the Spruson & Ferguson Beijing Office in July 2022.

Siqi focuses on patent prosecution and advising on all aspects of China patent matters. Her professional practice primarily involves providing advice in relation to China patent matters including validity and infringement risk, FTO, enforcement, patent drafting, and patent strategy, in addition to general patent prosecution. She has considerable experience in advising on China patent matters in the field of life sciences, pharmaceuticals and chemistry for multi-national companies including world-famous pharmaceutical corporations as well as for research institutes/universities.

Siqi has been working as a China Patent Attorney for over 14 years and has experiences in representing clients for legal hearings of administrative litigations in court. Prior to her practice with Spruson & Ferguson, Siqi worked at various Chinese IP agencies for eight years. 

Siqi’s technical qualifications include a PhD degree in Cell Biology from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has been qualified as a China patent attorney since 2012 and her working languages are Chinese and English.
