Overview
Dika holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science (Honours) from The University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Her academic research focused on characterising the role of CesA7 in cellulose synthesis and optimising plant biomass feedstock for biofuel production.
Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson (Asia), Dika worked as a Biotechnology Patent Specialist in a boutique law firm specialising in Intellectual Property in Osaka, Japan for five years. During this time in Osaka, Dika gained extensive experience in patent prosecution, handling inventions in the fields of biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, and food biotechnology. In addition, Dika assisted in various invalidation proceedings and played a key role in successfully overturning the Japanese Patent Office’s patent validity decision for four patents at the Japanese Intellectual Property High Court.
