Overview
Experienced in trade mark prosecution and contentious matters (opposition and non-use actions) before IP Australia and the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand, Madeline is an Associate in the Trade Marks team as well as an Australian lawyer.
She provides advice on trade mark filing, brand clearance, enforcement and portfolio management to local and international clients across a broad range of sectors, including fast-moving consumer goods, retail, fashion, banking and financial services, pharmaceuticals, and automotive.
Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson, Madeline held roles as an Assistant Hearing Officer and Trade Mark Examiner at IP Australia where she gained invaluable insights into Australian trade mark examination and hearings practice and procedure. She has also previously worked in the trade mark practice of an international law firm.
Madeline holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business from Swinburne University of Technology, and has completed a Graduate of Diploma of Legal Practice at The College of Law.
She was admitted to legal practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2021 and holds a New South Wales legal practising certificate.
