Prior to joining Spruson & Ferguson, Ming Wei was a research engineer at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore. His scientific contribution was in the area of formulation science. In particular, he has experience in encapsulation, emulsion, microemulsion and nanoemulsion technologies in aqueous formulations. Ming wei was involved in numerous industrial collaborations on formulation design and development with multinational corporations and local small & medium-sized enterprises from personal care, pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries.
Ming Wei graduated with a Master of Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2015. His research thesis was on enhancing thermal stability of a pharmaceutical peptide drug in aqueous formulations by micellar stabilization with metal ions for potential intranasal delivery. During his undergraduate studies at the NUS, he was attached to the A*STAR where he was involved in research work on the fabrication processes of microfluidic devices and the characterization procedures for such devices. Subsequently, he went on to study multiphase fluid flow behaviour through microfluidic channels for his final year project.
