Overview

Fraser has over a decade of experience in drafting and prosecuting patents, primarily in the field electrical engineering including in relation to power and telecommunication systems, signal processing, electronic hardware including embedded systems, medical devices, and software.

Fraser also has experience working in oil and gas technologies, having worked as an instrument and electrical engineer assistant on an operational oil and gas site prior to commencing his career in IP.

Fraser holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, as well as a Master of Engineering in Management degree which provides him with a unique skillset of being able to readily understand and relate to both technical and commercial aspects of the patent process.

Over his career Fraser has assisted numerous small and large clients with the protection and management of their IP portfolios. Fraser has considerable experience in prosecuting patents through to grant as well as defending or challenging patents through the patent opposition process.
