Overview
Faran graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Medical Engineering. During her studies, Faran gained industry experience through numerous work placements. Most notably, she completed a placement at the Innovative Cardiovascular Engineering Technology Laboratory at the Prince Charles Hospital, where she further developed her knowledge of Medical Devices and mechanical systems. Her engineering thesis saw her developing code to assist Optometrists in calculating the effects of mini-scleral contact lens wear on the thickness of the scleral tissue for determination prior to patient use.
After graduation, Faran chose to utilise her engineering knowledge and skills to embark on a career in intellectual property. She joined Spruson and Ferguson in 2018 as a trainee attorney and rapidly elevated to become an associate with the firm in 2020.
