Jeff Chen completed a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with honours from the Beijing Technology and Business University and a Master of Biological Science from the Tsinghua University. Jeff’s research theses focussed on “Carbon nanotubes as separation carrier in capillary electrophoresis” as well as “Differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells”. Jeff also completed a Master of American Law from Temple University, Pennsylvania (USA).
Jeff is an experienced Chinese patent attorney and has been practicing Chinese law for more than 12 years.
He works with local and international clients on various aspects of Chinese patent practice including patent drafting, prosecution, patentability / validity opinions, patent invalidation, patent infringement and administrative litigations, and freedom to operate advice across a broad range of industries including chemical engineering, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer and healthcare products, and energy.
Jeff is a qualified Chinese Patent Attorney as well as a qualified Chinese Attorney-at-law.
