An opportunity is available for an experienced Associate / Senior Associate registered Biotech Patent Attorney to join our Chemical/Life Sciences team in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne.
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, advising clients in relation to patent portfolio management, infringement, and patentability issues, as well as assisting in patent oppositions and/or patent litigation.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this opportunity candidates will have:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Biotechnology (PhD level);
- At least three to six years post qualified experience as a Biotech Patent Attorney;
- Experience in a broad range of patent attorney work including drafting of patent specifications, local and foreign patent prosecution, opposition work, and providing infringement and validity opinions;
- Strong analytical ability;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Drive and enthusiasm; and
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
