About the role

Due to the growing demand for technology protection in Singapore and regionally, we are currently looking for Qualified or Partly Qualified Patent Attorneys in the Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering field.

Candidates who have a patent attorney qualification in Singapore, US, Australia, Europe or the UK will be considered for a Patent Attorney position and will have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Computer Science.  A PhD or Masters and an equivalent amount of related work experience will be viewed very favorably.  More importantly, candidates must exhibit strong English Language communication skills (both written and oral) and the capacity for understanding diverse technologies.

The role will involve all aspects of patent work including the drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications in Singapore and abroad.

Successful candidates who are partly qualified will be considered for a Patent Engineer position and will receive further training and development towards achieving the coveted professional status of a Singapore Registered Patent Attorney with a very attractive remuneration at qualification level.  Accordingly, candidates must continue their commitment to studying outside of typical office hours to pass their remaining examinations to qualify as a Patent Attorney.
