Jessica Zhang received a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Culture in 1990 and a Master’s degree in American Studies in 1993, both from Xi’an Foreign Languages University in China. In 1995 Jessica was admitted as a chartered Trademark Attorney by the China State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
Jessica started her career as a trademark attorney in a prominent intellectual property law firm in China practicing in the areas of trade mark, copyright, domain name and anti-unfair competition. With more than twenty years of trademarks experience Jessica has expertise in securing and defending trademark and related rights for both domestic and international clients.
Jessica has advised on a full spectrum of trademark and related IP matters, including both contentious and non-contentious matters. Matters such as trademark portfolio management, trademark prosecution, oppositions and invalidation actions, acquisition and exploitation of trade mark rights, due diligence services, strategies against counterfeiting and trademark infringements. Jessica has also coordinated investigations and raid actions, working with local administrative authorities, customs officials and police staff for trademark protection, negotiating settlement with trademark infringers, filing for trademark infringement petitions and litigations.
Jessica is a member of the All-China Trademark Agents Association. Her working languages are English and Chinese.
